Excellent very readable paperback.
A very readable book. Excellent English translation. Historically and technically accurate. Great realism depicting the day to day life on the Eastern Front. Perfect for those interested in WW II German aircraft types and the preparation and training of young Luftwaffe pilots for combat duty.
Lots of B&W photos. The author is not to be confused with another ace Horst Hannig (no relation to the author) who was shot down during the war.
If you collect aviation prints like I do you may be interested to know Norbert Hannig signed a recent Robert Taylor print entitled "The Long Short Days." This aviation print may be still available. Google it. Be sure its the Collector's Edition with the 9 signatures.
