Excellent CD! *** A+A+A+
This is an excellent CD! All of the songs are very well written. In case you don't know, Jimmy Ryser has been affiliated with John Cougar Mellencamp throughout the years, and JCM drummer Kenny Aronoff plays percussion on the Jimmy Ryser CD. I remember an Entertainment Tonight story about Jimmy Ryser visiting a hospital and playing music for the kids, because he was born with Spina Bifida. It's a shame this CD didn't sell better, because Jimmy Ryser is a great songwriter! "Prophesize" is a very good rocker, while "Benny" is a great slow song! If you like Jude Cole or Richard Marx, you will like this CD more, because there are better songs! Also check out The Badlee's "River Songs" and "Diamonds In The Coal" and the Renegade Saints "Fear Of The Sky" as two more "sleeper" CD'S.

This is a great CD! Unfortunately, the rest of his CD's aren't nearly as good! If you like Toto, Poco or Richard Marx, then you will like this CD. The songs are varied and well-written. Also check out Jimmy Ryser for an excellent "Sleeper" CD.

Good Midwestern Folk Rock!
This is a good CD for those people who like great musicians playing stripped down folk rock songs. This group hails from Kansas City, and it's members have all been heavily influenced by it's diverse music scene.
