BLACKBERRY BOLD GOOD or EXCELLENT?

Review of Blackberry Bold 9000 Positives: 1)Ability to send and recieve emails in the same way as sending and receiving a text- in terms of interface. 2)Battery life is good enough to allow you to use all the features the phone provides constantly throughout a day. 3)Clear battery display which is also very realistic and not misleading in the slightest. 4)Wide range of software available for the Blackberry such as; Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel to go, Blackberry App store and a program which enables the user to sync thier itunes playlist with thier Blackberry. Microsoft Word,Powerpoint and Excel to go- Quick and easy to download documents from your computer (or recieved emails) onto the phone. The programs are a simpler version of the ones you will have used on a desktop/latptop, again making them easy to use. A simple way to view your documents on the go. Blackberry App Store- An easy to use program that is available to download onto your Blackberry, allowing you to download various apps onto your mobile. Apps are available for things such as gaming,social networking sites,instant messenger and so many other things. One of the more popular Apps available for the Blackberry is the Blackberry Messenger, it enables you to communicate with other Blackberry users free of charge. Particularly useful for people using the phone as a business phone. 5)Full Qwerty keyboard is exceptionaly easy to use- suprising because i thought the size of the keys would become a problem. 6)Wi-Fi and GPS enable internet use on the go AND in the comfort of your own home if turning your desktop/laptop seems unessisary. 7)Brilliant display on screen Negatives: 1)At times i feel that the phone is missing a slightly bigger screen, for example when browsing the internet- however there is a zoom feature available. 2)The appearance of the phone itself in my opinion is acceptable, however if your looking for a light weight phone that is easy to slip into your pocket, this isnt the phone for you- at times it can feel a little bulky due to the size of the keyboard. 3)The cost of the phone makes it a little less accesible to some consumers 4)Even though i feel that the variety of Apps available on the App store is enough, some may be disappointed that the range of Apps is not as wide as that of the iphone. Overall: In my opinion the Blackberry Bold 9000 is an attractive device that benefits business needs aswell as every day users. The phone enables you to browse the internet and check your emails easily without any complications. There is also plenty of entertainment provided through Blackberrys own App Store making it a great all in one device for a variety of users.

IS APPLE IPHONE 3G GOOD OR BAD?

No doubt the Apple iPhone was game changer when it came out. I too was entranced by the hype machine and wanted an iPhone and to be honest, with good reasons in places. I say "in places" mainly because there are some major things that bring the iPhone down in my opinion, but first lets cover the good. Good things: 1) It's a beautifully crafted device 2) The screen is fantastic 3) The touch interface is the best out there 4) The ease at which you can buy/download applications is dangerous, but in a good way. 5) The web browsing on it is fantastic 6) The integration of iPod, phone, camera and entertainment device is great, you only need one device in your pocket. The Bad: 1) BATTERY LIFE! it truly is shocking. It's all well and good having an iPod/phone/entertainment device all in one, but if you're listening to music while browsing the web or sending emails, then it absolutely canes the battery life. I have to charge my phone every day and if i know there's going to be a time where it'll be in heavy usage, i have to put it on an additional charge especially. 2) It's not able to run different applications in the background. So for instance, you can't pause a game, reply to a text, then come back to the game.....it has to close. 3)It randomly drops calls, or doesn't even ring sometimes, this could be due to the carrier or the device....i don't know. 4) You're not able to take out the battery and change it for one with a better hold of charge - not a major problem, but the battery DOES suck *that* much! 5) The camera is rubbish. Seriously. 2MP. No flash. No zoom (you can download an app to be able to zoom, but to be honest, you shouldn't have to. Yes the 3GS has 3MP camera, but even this is waaaay behind what consumers expect from their phone. How much of a problem would it be to whack in a 5MP camera with a flash? 6) I often have problems with data connection etc again not sure if this is a MNO (Mobile Network Operator) problem or handset problem. Usually sorted by refreshing what i was trying to do....still shouldn't have to do this though. Just felt like i should vent a little bit, due to my iPhone running out of battery again. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful device and the user interface is fantastic. The user experience is frustrating at times and if i'm honest can get really annoying!
