When France fell and Italy declared war on Britain, Admiral Dudley Pound had wanted to evacuate the Mediterranean altogether and concentrate on home defense, but Churchill overruled him, making the Mediterranean the focus of British land operations for four years, reliant on the Royal Navy.

I have bought from this seller many thimes and have been well served and very satisfied.
This item arrived in good time today and is exactly as advertised.
This time, however, two days after I paid $94 (with 10 more still available), the seller changed the price to $61 (still with 10 more available).
I raised this with the seller and got a facile brush off: that their prices reflect their costs for an item. The fact that the $94 (+10) listing has been removed, belies that. Not credible.
