An unlicensed game, The Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy puts you in the role of the title character, an egg-like fellow who must rescue his girlfriend Daisy from the evil wizard Zaks. Prior to the arrival of this terrible wizard, the land of the Yolkfolk was a safe and peaceful region in which all manner of creature lived in harmony. Greedy for the land's plentiful supply of diamonds, Zaks built a castle in the clouds. Here he planned to concoct his evil schemes.<br><br>You begin this game with the ability to move around in a small area of the map. To access more sections of the game, you must solve puzzles, some of which involve the use of skill and agility, such as using a rope to getting across chasms. Others require you to find and place the correct object, such as matching up a key with a particular door or moving Shamus the leprechaun by giving him something. Many of the puzzles are of the sliding/swapping variety, in which you must push squares to unscramble a picture.<br><br>In addition to puzzles, there are a number of action sequences. You'll perform such feats as ride a mine cart while avoiding dead ends and evil trolls, swim up to the surface of the ocean before your oxygen runs out, ride a barrel down a river while avoiding crocodiles and other obstacles, and use a crossbow to battle castle guards.<br><br>As you progress through the game, you will see spinning stars in your pathway. To reach Zaks' magic castle and complete the game, you must gather 100 of these stars. You will also need to pick up any number of helpful objects, such as weed killer, a plank of wood, an animal cage, an umbrella, a bag of old coins, a wrench, a shamrock and a match. Each item has a specific purpose, but you can only carry three at a time.
