By the late 1960s the Beetle had enjoyed over twenty years of continuous production, dominated its home market and conquered export markets all around the world. Volkswagen's policy of constant improvement and refinement to a single model appeared to be vindicated. The books I received were not the books in the photo/description. I was overjoyed to see copies of the original 1992 edition available, and because this book has been part of my daily practice for over 30 years I was very excited to see it available in the original high quality trade paperback form . I was very disappointed to receive copies of the recently published mass market paperback. Caveat emptor.
