The Jungmädelbund (Young Girls League) was the organization of younger female Hitler Youth's between the ages of 10 and 14. All girls had to prove themselves both in character, physical abilities and loyal devotion to their country. The first requirements were met during the first six months in service. The results of the tests were recorded in the JM Achievement book. After they successfully completed the JM Challenge, their Group Leader officially awarded them the right to wear the black neckerchief and leather knot. Then, they could go on to receive the JM Achievement badge. Once the girls turned 12 years old, they could strive for the Jungmädel Achievement Badge. They had an entire year's time to pass the requirements. Once passed, they were awarded the proficiency badge by the National Youth Leader. The requirements included sports, participation in hiking trips and ideological training. This book covers those requirements including the conditions for receiving the JM Achievement Badge, regulations and requirements expected of the young girls, required performance during the home evening meetings, teachings for the JM to discuss the struggles of the Sturmabteilung (SA), the battles the Hitler Youth faced at the beginning of the movement and the list of the first 21 names of those who were killed, the meaning of the national holidays, why the young girls carry the name of the Hitler Youth, the meaning of the Young Girls Badge and performance aptitude.
