Reviews
"It is more difficult to wear the Medal of Honor than to receive it. I now represent men and women who have done far more than me, sacrificed far more than me. It is a huge responsibility to represent them." ?"Sal Giunta, US Army (Medal of Honor recipient, Afghanistan), "Civil War readers will be especially interested in this book since the Civil War inspired President Abraham Lincoln to create and standardize a major military decoration for uncommon valor. The book includes the Confederate equivalent of the Medal of Honor and features both naval and land military actions. Educators will be attracted to it because the book highlights many personality traits valuable in character development programs. With potential for additional military action always on the horizon, any citizen will appreciate how this book emphasizes the qualities the military services recognize and encourage as they defend freedom and democracy." - CivilWarNews.com, "This volume is special because it tells the story of the Medal of Honor. It's not about individuals; it's a beautifully told story of our country's history as seen through the eyes of those who have fought her wars. The history of the medal teaches all of us that 'service before self' has long been a credo of ordinary Americans both in and out of uniform. The Medal of Honor is a constant reminder of the magnificent men and women who have worn the uniform of the United States of America and sacrificed so much for all of us. The least we can do in return is to commit to live out our lives in a manner worthy of those sacrifices." '?Paul Bucha, US Army (Medal of Honor recipient, Vietnam), "... editors respectfully present the fascinating history of the medal from its creation during the Civil War to today, including numerous colorful vignettes abut its heroic recipients. This book is also a fitting tribute to countless American military personnel who have sacrificed so much with or without medal recognition." - Military Officer

I recently purchased this puzzle for my granddaughter and me. She's studying geography in school, and I thought this would be a good way to help her learn the countries. I love the sentiment on the puzzle as well. I can't wait to put it together with her.
