It offers Wi-Fi connectivity, Metro Ethernet, and secure broadband to ensure significant performance. Enjoy an advanced security system that features a sophisticated firewall, SSL and IP security, Intrusion Prevention System, and anti-virus support. Use the web-based tools to manage the router remotely whenever you want. Its wireless LAN supports both 802.11a and 802.11b/g operations thanks to the multiple antennas. It is rack- and wall-mountable, allowing you to place it anywhere you want. Enable maximum connectivity with two WAN connections in the back of the unit as well as integrated backup WAN.Setting the industry standard for business networking, Cisco network devices are used to provide networking solutions at every level. Equally at home in a home office environment or applied as a robust business gateway, the Cisco 1811 is a top router. It is equipped to handle all layer-3 routing needs.The Cisco 1811 router provides broadband Ethernet access via two 10/100 Fast Ethernet WAN ports that are located in the rear of the device. Integrated WAN backup is also featured through a V.92 analog modem. Wireless connectivity is accessed with two detachable antennae placed in the back. Eight 10/100 Base-T Fast Ethernet switch ports can be used for multiple wired connections to the device, creating an all-in-one solution for small business and home office needs. The Cisco 1811 supports multiple routing protocols, including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, RIPv1 and RIPv2. Unicast and multicast IPv4 and IPv6 support are provided by default. Featuring Cisco IOS version 14.4T, the Cisco 1811 supports a host of Cisco network tools to secure networks and ensure reliable and consistent networking speeds. Networking through VPN can be established on the Cisco 1811. Cisco's advanced Sophisticated Firewall features are available as well as a range of other security essentials, including SSL and IP Sec VPNs, Intrusion Prevent System (IPS), full anti-virus support via NAC, and more. Router configuration and settings can be accessed remotely over the network or with console connections located in the back. The 1811 series router also includes two USB ports. The Cisco 1811's Wi-Fi access can be secured with WPA or WPA2 security configurations. Industry-standard connection security over the device's Wi-Fi is present, such as limiting the number of connected Wi-Fi hosts, MAC Address filtering, and RADIUS accounting for wireless hosts. The 1811's maximum number of connected hosts via Wi-Fi or wired connections are limited only by the device's port/wireless speeds of 10/100 Mbps and 54 Mbps, respectively.The Cisco 1811's eight switch ports offer full support for up to eight VLANs and PoE (Power over Ethernet). The device has a very small footprint. The device's hardware has a default flash memory of 32MB, and default DRAM of 128MB enables robust internal software configurations and images. A high-speed processor helps the Cisco 1811 consistently provide smooth and uninterrupted service even in busy networks or during heavy traffic situations.
