The main character is Alex Mason, a soldier who took part in a series of covert missions during the 1960s. As the game begins, Mason is being interrogated about events he has no memory of. Gameplay is made up of Mason's flashbacks to different time periods and locales. Each sequence adds new information as he tries to remember his past. The story mixes historical events with fiction to deliver action-packed gameplay in unique locales. Multiplayer gaming remains a key component of the Call of Duty series. "Black Ops" on the Nintendo Wii gives fans more than a dozen games to play, eight character classes, and six maps on which to battle. Players can earn COD points to unlock weapons and upgrade abilities. Points are earned by completing contracts that ask you to fulfill certain objectives during a mission.
