This lens has a zoom coverage that starts from wide angle and goes all the way to medium telephoto. The VR technology on this lens helps deliver high-definition videos and clearer photos. Nikon’s VR technology coupled with image stabilization allows for more handheld shooting that still produces clear images and high-definition video shooting. The Nikon NIKKOR AF-S 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 G VR ED is a multipurpose lens that serves many purposes not just for photography but videography as well. The wide zoom range from wide angle to medium opens a lot of options for composition and perspectives. The lens has a 24mm-wide focal length on FX-format digital single-lens reflex cameras and 36mm for DX formats. This makes the lens a good choice for landscapes, travel, group shots, and interior shots. Nikon’s specially formulated super integrated lens coating (SIC) increases contrast and controls flares and ghosting.
