But when we received the item, the spring and plug were not attached to the bottom of the coffee basketl We tried to repair it but it did not hold. However, we were having guests he next day and needed the pot so we kept it without complaining. It doesnt inferfere with the making of coffee or anything, it's just so you can "sneak" a cup before it's finished brewing.
