Images:
1. We here by state that all our products we retail on this selling portal are stocked and shipped by us (The Seller) and therefore all the images are the right of Homeware Direct and are of the product being retailed. We try to portray the product images the best we can and are as close as possible to actual sight of the product, to be as described. All our product images are watermarked and are for our use only. We do not use copy image addresses from any other images but our own.
 
Descriptions:
1. We here by state that all our product descriptions are as described of the actual product/products and not enhanced by us for sale purposes. Where extra information has been added this is only to warrant a clear description of the product/products and it’s use to any potential purchaser, so to be as described.
 
Payments:
1. We here by state that we collect all our payments for sales made through this selling portal through a secured PayPal Account. All Payments are to made instantly on all our description pages. We will not answer any inquiry for other forms of payment other than stated. As we are an instant pay seller, there is no reason to state rules of payment times other than instant. We also state that no buyers payment details are ever known to us, other than a notice of receipt of payment.
 
Terms of Shipping & Dispatch:
 
We here by state we offer two forms of shipping to the United Kingdom.
 
1. Free Shipping:- This is a standard shipping only offered to the buyer within certain criteria of conditions of sale. Meaning! This shipping is low class shipping ie: (Royal Mail 1st or 2nd Class Standard of delivery). Even though we as the sender get a delivery notification on all our shipping orders with free shipping the cost of delivery charge to the buyer is not at a percentage high enough for us to warrant customer tracking of delivery. As this is the case the buyer is seen to us as purchasing this shipping method in full knowledge of this fact, therefore we have full right to hold back a refund of product payment for none delivery where this method of shipping has been used for the term of 15 days after the dispatch date for two reasons, 1) As this is the lawful & legal time the Royal Mail and all courier services state for a delivery to be named as undelivered or lost in post. 2) Within this time we will have received or not received as the case may be any delivery notifications where standard shipping has been used. We assure any buyer if their item still remains undelivered and we have not received a delivery notification for their shipping order number with the courier we will refund their payment on day 16 via PayPal. It is our responsibility to state such facts to potential buyers to which we do in our T&C and returns policy. It is also the buyers responsibility to read such facts in our T&C and returns policy before purchase. Any resolution opened for none delivery of a free post item will be met with kind message pointing out this fact. We as a business will not be held responsible for the actions of the Royal Mail, Parcelforce or any other courier service until after 15 days have lapsed. We clearly state as on dispatch it is our responsibility only to provide proof of postage until either the item arrives or 15 days have passed with no delivery, to which we do. If the buyer decides otherwise and escalates their resolution to a refund claim before 15 days have lapsed, we hold no power over their actions and will just provide the information required to whoever is dealing with the claim ie:- ebay or Paypal which could take up to 30 days from initial dispatch date for them to review & resolve!
2. Tracked Shipping:- This is a Tracked shipping method offered as another option or alternative to the free shipping and is chargeable to the rate stated on the description. The method of shipping is either Royal Mail, Parcelforce or UPS 1st Class signed for on arrival depending on the size of product and normally has a 1 to 2 day ETA as described on the item pages. It is our responsibility to provide the buyer with the tracking number provided to us by the courier on dispatch or in the case of UPS after collection and on arrival to their depot, to which we do via ebay or PayPal email and our buyers dispatch notification email. This number can be used by both parties to check delivery status within the Royal Mail, UPS Courier Services website and also ebay or PayPal. However we can only give as much information to any buyer regarding delivery times as we are given by the courier, therefore it is not our responsibility for attendance upon delivery. As stated the buyer is required to sign for the delivery or have a member of the household to sign, or a neighbour to take the parcel on their behalf and sign on their behalf. This signature, who ever signed by ends all responsibility for that purchase being delivered by us and the courier service. If there is no answer at the delivery address and no other arrangements have been made the courier will post a card through the buyers letter box with details of where your package can be collected from. This may be a local click & collection point of the couriers choice or their local depot. It is the buyers responsibility to act upon this information only, not us or the courier. If your item remains at the collection point uncollected or no contact has been received by the courier or their collection point regarding such package after 10 days from original delivery all parties to which the tracking number has use to will be notified by email of urgent collection needed, these parties are the buyer, ourselves the sender, The courier, Ebay the online portal and PayPal the payment portal. After 15 days from delivery date the item will be then returned to sender if still uncollected again with notifications to all parties. In these rare cases all payment refunds, feedback comments and resolutions are made void.
 
International Shipping:
 
We here by state that we offer three forms of international shipping:
 
1. Firstly our International Shipping is governed by ebays own Global Shipping Programme offered via this shopping portal.
2. Where ebays Global Shipping is not available for certain products or reasons beyond our control we also offer our own alternatives.
3. Our alternatives being: Delivery to European Countries is undertaken by Royal Mail International Standard Service. This is an economical service and is provided to the buyer under the same criteria as Free Post UK. Delivery to the rest of the world is undertaken by Royal Mail International Tracked Postal Service and is provided to the buyer under the same criteria as UK tracked postal.
 
In all cases where shipping is concerned, we as a business can only ship to the confirmed address information given to us via PayPal & this retail portal. It is up to the buyer not us to make sure all their information is updated and correct at time of purchase. We do have and act upon an address checking service for missing parts of an address to make sure we can do everything we can possibly do regards your item/items reaching you without further contact after payment. However differing addresses regards ebay & PayPal have to be and will be acted upon via email, text or contact via a telephone call to the buyer to attain the correct information. If contact is not available or after online email or text no such information is forthcoming from the buyer within 24 hours of purchase the item will be dispatched to the confirmed address in PayPal. If this information in PayPal is deemed to be wrong after dispatch the buyer loses all rights for a refund of their payment. We will not be held responsible for a buyers missing information which has not been updated.
 
Unconfirmed addresses in PayPal? We check every address before packing and we are sorry but we only ship to confirmed addresses, if for whatever reason your address states unconfirmed in PayPal we refund your payment as soon as it has been noticed via PayPal, with a note to say why. We do this for a few reasons, the main being it narrows down the possible chance of a non delivery claim as if the address is not confirmed in PayPal the chances are it is either wrong or unconfirmed with the courier services as well. Also Unconfirmed addresses are a well known scamming ploy to attain items and then once received to claim a non delivery. To which if the address is unconfirmed we have no way of knowing or claiming back the payment.
 
Dispatch:
 
We here by state that all our items are dispatched & packaged by us and done so as follows.
 
1. All our items are packaged by hand to a standard where not to obtain damage in transit. We use such items as protective bubble wrap, padded envelopes, vinyl packaging, boxes or hard casing to protect all our items even if they are in the manufacturers own protective packaging and all our shipping charges include packaging in their prices.
2. All our packing and dispatch area is automated, products are automatically marked as dispatched in ebay once they have been fully packed, labelled the label has been scanned to the courier for the next collection. It is on scanning of the product delivery address label where it automatically marks the product as dispatched in ebay as the product is now in the mailing system along with other orders awaiting courier collection.
3. All our dispatch times are as described on all our item description pages, being (Monday to Friday within 24 to 48 working hours) we do not have any courier collections on a Saturday or Sunday. However we do process orders on a Saturday and as explained previously our dispatch system is computerised and programmed to move order purchases to the relevant dispatch day stated, to keep in time with the relevant estimated time of delivery given via ebay and other online portals. These times are set so we have enough time to package items to our standard where we also coincide with our courier collection times.
4. This Saturday processing means that all our items are dispatched well within 48 working postal hours after receiving payment and the majority of orders are within 24 working hours or payment. However as explained previously orders processed on a Saturday will be scanned to the courier to which marks the order as dispatched in ebay. Meaning the order is in the mailing system awaiting collection from the courier on the next working day. Normally Monday but could be Tuesday if Monday is a Bank Holiday!
5. Regarding the meaning of working or business hours. These hours are the hours of business by us Homeware Direct for office hours and order processing, also the courier service hours for collections only. Hours not deemed business hours on a daily basis are between 16:00 to 23:59 & 00:00 to 08:00 Monday to Friday and Friday between 16:00 to 23:59 Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 00:00 to 23:59 and finally Monday between the hours of 00:00 to 08:00. Any day that is regarded as a UK Holiday (Bank Holiday or Festive Holiday) is to be treated as a Sunday. There are no business hours regarding purchasing an item as this is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Unless we are on annual holiday shutdown to which the website is put on holiday mode where no purchases can be made.
 
Messages & Contact:
 
We here by state that all contact to us is to be made via the channels stated on all our description pages under the heading “Contact” and under the criteria below.
 
1. All messages to our ebay contact address will be normally be answered within 24 working office hours Monday to Friday and should contain either an enquiry or question regarding a purchase.
2. All messages to our email address stated on our contact details will be answered within 48 working office hours and should not be regarding an item purchase but just a general business enquiry.
3. Any message enquiry received regarding another form of payment, possible collection of a product will not be answered and deleted as your answer is on all our pages.
4. Any message received that contains insults, swear words, and in general deemed abusive will not be answered but a copy will be sent to ebay in a report of ebay member before your message is deleted.
 
Terms of Returns Policy:
 
We have a very decent and lengthy returns policy regarding time requirement of return ie:- 30 days. our returns policy is explained fully on all our item pages regarding unwanted on arrival, damage on arrival and none delivery. Our returns policy also explains what to do, in what time to do it and what exceptions there are and what voids the policy. We do make it clear on all our item pages this policy should be read before purchase and we are not responsible for buyers messages that make it quite obvious they have not read this policy before purchase. Our policy in it’s majority adheres to the returns policy requirements of this selling portal and more! However where it differs we hold the right to replace these differences with our business returns policy which is explained fully on all our item descriptions.
 
Regarding Us:
 
We at Homeware Direct assure all buyers and potential buyers that we are an online retailer and do not pretend or state we are anything but this fact. We like to think we are an honest, reliable and trustworthy retail business and all our prices are what you see is what you pay. If there has been a mistake in pricing an item and only noticed by us after a buyers purchase, then it is our responsibility to revise that product to it's true retail cost and not the buyers. Never will a buyer be asked to pay more than they already have. All our products are sourced, bought in bulk, stocked and shipped in the United Kingdom to retail online through various online retail portals. Therefore we can offer fast dispatch which is always within 24 to 48 postal business hours and in some cases same day at no extra charge at less busy times of the year if our collection times stated allows.
