Delivery
 
Delivery to England, Scotland or Wales mainland addresses is within 3 days but may vary according to the manufacturer
 
All large items will be delivered to the front door of ground floor locations only. The delivery person may at their discretion assist moving the goods to a location within the premises. If we move the items beyond the front door we hold no liability to any potential damage caused to the premises or product..
 
We will not be liable for any consequential loss or damage for late delivery (whether for loss of profit or otherwise) or other claims for consequential compensation.
 
We guarantee delivery within 3 working days, however dates are given in good faith and we do not accept any liability for late orders.
 
If through no fault of our own charges are incurred through aborted deliveries these will be passed on. Please note large items like fridges and cookers require access by vehicles the size of a double decker bus if there are road obstructions preventing delivery costs incurred by ourselves will be passed on. If we cannot deliver large items because of obstructions within your building the delivery may be aborted and any costs incurred by ourselves from the transport company will be passed on.
 
If the item is damaged at point of delivery unfortunately carriers will not allow claims if "damage" is not specifically noted on the delivery note, signing unchecked or unexamined will not cover you. On receipt of the item you must check the goods and write specifically where they are damaged on the delivery note if the driver refuses to wait and let you check the item best practice is to write damaged anyway. If the item is damaged during delivery we must be notified within 48 hours.
 
 
 
Goods
 
Descriptions and specifications for the goods are set out on the CHS Ltd website we reserve the right to substitute the goods with newer versions or items of comparable or better quality.
 
If goods are out of stock we will contact you to discuss the next available delivery date or cancel the order in whole or in part to refund the paid amount.
 
The photographs on this website may not accurately represent the item being purchased, there may be modifications made from the manufacturer or an alternative image used. Restocking fees will apply if you wish to return an item if it is not as described on the photograph
 
CHS Ltd reserves the right to cancel or suspend any order.
 
 
 
Warranties and Returns
 
Goods sold in the UK mainland may be returned for a refund, exchange or replacement within 7 days provided they are returned unused, in a saleable condition and in their original packaging. Where the item has no defects and you wish to return it you will be charged the delivery and collection fees, if the item arrives at the manufacturer damaged in transit the cost of the damage will be deducted from the refund.
 
If you return items that have been shipped directly from the importer or manufacturer we may apply a restocking fee to cover their charges to us, this may be up to 25% of the items cost. We do not accept returns for refunds after the initial 7 day exchange period.
 
Goods that are damaged on delivery must be reported to CHS Ltd in writing within 7 days. Large goods such as cookers must be visually inspected by the customer on delivery for damage and an acceptance of delivery docket completed noting any damage that resulted from delivery.
 
We regret that we cannot offer refunds on special order or tailor made products, this is applicable to all kitchen extract filters.
 
The warranties to goods caused by the fault, negligence or failure of the customer to adhere to manufacturer instructions will be invalidated. Engineer call-outs and repairs carried out on non-warranty faults or defects will be subject to further charges if the engineer reports that the call out was not due to the failure of the appliance but user error or neglect.
 
We do not sell goods on a sale or return basis.
 
You must thoroughly inspect the contents of all packages at point of delivery as shortages must be notified to CHS Ltd within 7 days, in order to obtain a credit or replacement. We will not accept claims for shortages after this period.
 
CHS Ltd cannot be held liable for any costs or loss of earnings due to equipment being supplied faulty or for deliveries being delayed.
 
If we are called out to repair hot water boilers, dishwashers steamers etc and it is apparent the call out was because of the build-up of scale, this will not be covered under the manufacturer's warranty and their charges will be passed on.
 
All gas and electrical appliances must be professionally installed, if our engineers are called out to an appliance that has been incorrectly fitted it will not be repaired under the warranty until the installation has been modified. You will be liable for the manufacturers charge for the aborted call out. If gas appliance are not fitted in a brick built solid construction like mobile trailers they are only covered by a one year parts only warranty.
 
Where items hold at least one year's manufacturer's warranty unless specified differently, the warranty is with the manufacturer of the product not Catering Hygiene Specialists Ltd. If goods are returned to the manufacturer because they are on a back to base warranty or any other reason Catering Hygiene Specialists will not pay for the carriage. If the manufacturer does not offer this the cost and liability for the carriage will be with the end user
 
If you have purchased items on a parts only warranty we will organise for parts to be supplied from the manufacturer and supply engineers contact details where available. In cases where there has been neglect or misuse to the appliance it will be at the manufacturers discretion whether they supply parts.
 
If the product is on a return to base warranty postage Catering Hygiene Specialists will not pay for postage this is down to the policy of the particular manufacturer. Items that have been returned and it is deemed the damage is through neglect or misuse will require payment to cover all costs before it's returned.
 
 
 
Terms of Payment

The prices quoted are internet prices only and are only valid for for purchasing through the the web site or where the payment has been made by BACS into our account. With telephone transactions there is a substantial risk of fraud, additional time to process the order and higher credit card charges; to cover these costs there is a surcharge of 5%.
 
If the advertised price is incorrect CHS Ltd shall be under no obligation to honor it.
 
CHS Ltd reserves the right to charge interest on late or overdue payments by the customer.
 
CHS’s Price match applies to any lower published price for a like-for-like product offered on the same terms in the UK. Like-for-like means goods should be the same brand and specification. The goods must be offered with the same delivery service and warranty as CHS Ltd and the competitor must have stock availability at the time of ordering. The price will not be matched where there are 'hidden extras' such as delivery charges. In order to qualify the price must be published in writing.
 
 
 
Limitation of Liability
 
Goods generally are not insured for delivery unless confirmed by CHS Ltd.
 
CHS Ltd will not be liable for any losses or damage suffered by the customer to include loss of business or time.
