  Seller messaged me as soon as the auction ended to tell me the typewriter had been damaged beyond repair and could not be shipped. This was communicated before I paid and there were no further issues. As disappointing as the situation is, the immediate communication and honesty (vs. leaving the buyer waiting, or shipping it anyway) is much appreciated.

  I purchased two similar items and left the wrong feedback here. This auction was NOT cancelled. What I meant to say was: Item was reasonably-priced. It was packaged well and protected against damage, and arrived with no serious issues. The item's description was accurate; there was no damage that was not disclosed in the listing, and there were no unexpected issues with the typewriter. On a personal note, I appreciated the enormous number of stamps on the box - I've never seen that before.
