As a long-time seller of vintage and niche films, and other products I want to clarify a recurring issue raised by some buyers unfamiliar with current industry standards. Many titles from past decades—especially those no longer in commercial print—are now legally distributed on DVD-R format. This shift reflects the reality of a changing industry, where major studios have ceased physical production and collectors rely on authorized reissues and archival-grade copies.
Unfortunately, a pattern has emerged where certain buyers use outdated assumptions to accuse sellers of wrongdoing, often without understanding the legal and practical context. These complaints—typically focused on disc color or packaging—ignore the fact that DVD-R is now the standard format

Ebays platform has become very hard to sell on, so these buyer/sellers are trying to buy low and sell the item at a high price, if the item is not the version they want, they give negative. its ok for buyer/seller to apply feedback extortion and get away with it. buyer has lied across the board, Buyer cannot buy dvds any more from suppliers as all have closed down, and use ebay as the supplier.
