Scanner was brand new and, although on the expensive side, there is not (and will not be) anything comparable in the market for bulk scanning. I have the EPSON V600 and I can scan only 4 slides or 12 negative frames at a time. With the V850 I can scan 12 slides or 18 (24 with the opional holder) negative frames at a time. For me with 5,500 slides and over 10,000 negative frames, speed is very important!
