Reviews
Every block project illustrates the block at the top of the page, followed by the pattern and an illustration of the completed pattern. The techniques employed by Anita are easy to follow and for the new quilter, this book may be a useful start., If precise cutting and maintaining an accurate 1/4 seam allowance present too much of a challenge, the techniques outlined in this book may be the answer. Patches are pieced together on a single sheet of foundation paper so there is no need to sew multiple units together to assemble one block. The technique is clearly explained with step-by-step diagrams and instructions for sixty traditional 6 blocks, all with patterns available for photocopying or scanning. The quilt gallery gives some good ideas for combining blocks and borders with the use of inspiring colour combinations. This is a neat technique which, once mastered, would widen the options for making accurately pieced traditional blocks on a small scale., NO PINS - NO KIDDING! I don't always have the patience for paper-piecing, especially when it comes to assembling the sections of a block, with all those crinkly, hard-to-pin paper edges. Anita's amazing technique uses just one foundation piece and no pinning! Patches cut from templates are lightly glued in place with a fabric glue stick, then stitched and pressed. (Unlike other paper-piecing techniques, Anita's does not use oversized patches, so there's no trimming and less fabric waste.) The amazing part comes next: fold the paper on pre-printed dotted lines and stitch. When you open up the block, all the sections will match perfectly! It's easy to make all the copies you need using the book's full-sized patterns. It's easy to get addicted to the accuracy of Perfect Blocks, and with sixty to choose from, you're bound to find inspiration for your next project.

Synopsis
An autobiography of "Top Gear" cohost Richard Hammond, told through 20 significant road journeys he has takenIn a new and very appropriate form of autobiography, Richard Hammond tells his life story through a series of significant driving episodes. He's a child in the back seat of Dad's car on the way to the seaside in Weston-Super-Mare. He's on his first bike, a red one, in Solihull; then on his first motorcycle, a Honda MTX50. He's at the wheel of his first car, and with his first girlfriend. He is driving a furniture delivery van as part of his first job in and around Ripon. Now he is showing off with a friend, risking everything. Then he is surging ahead in an open-top, a successful TV star. Next, a car crash that made national headlines. This is an emotional road map in which each chapter has its own registration number, and its own distinctive interior. This memoir surges on to its destination, reversing or moving quickly through the gears, reliving the central episodes and conflicts of Richard's life. Although there are precious few road-rage monologues against four-wheel drivers and men in vests in white vans, Richard Hammond's readers will quickly recognize the funny, self-deprecating, and balanced ease that has made him one of Britain's best-loved writers and television hosts., Like many gifted soccer players of the 1970s and 1980s, the story told by legendary Middlesbrough, Southampton, and England winger David Armstrong includes some spectacular ups and downs; but the speed and ferocity of his personal rollercoaster ride are surely unique. Starting out at Leeds, David resisted signing for Don Revie-later followed by Clough's Forest and Manchester United. He played an incredible 356 consecutive matches for Middlesbrough before being forced out after 10 years. On to Saints with Keegan, Ball, and Channon-and more near misses in the league and cup. Armstrong's promising England career was sadly curtailed by a falling-out with Bobby Robson, and just four years later he was forced to sign on the dole. The break-up of his first marriage, his desperate desire for an ankle amputation, and bailiffs at the door lend David's riches-to-rags story of stardom and poverty a human appeal far beyond soccer.

Great Ebay seller! Nice, friendly communication and books arrived within time frame, but the plastic bag the books arrived in was very thin and flimsy. This book is in ok condition, with rough edges on cover and curled pages. It will get used a lot by me too, so a good value for the price! Would buy from this seller again, thanks!
