All the tags were easy to activate with an iPad and Bluetooth. I dissembled the ones I purchased and removed the noisemaking, peizo disk to use these as an anti theft/locators for some bikes. The casings didnt come apart easily and marred slightly being opened. Without removing the disks these will actually notify the thief they are "being stalked" which is a terrible original design flaw. Cheap insurance.
