For years I was using speakers with no volume and many times some music or speaches were weak to hear but this one blasts the sound and no distortion or static , it is a very clean and quality sound. My advice is , do not buy any speaker for your laptop without volume button control. No matter how much you raise the sound from the laptop, it does not do it. this one does it.
