Reviews
Its an insane way to draw, but the resulting detail and luminosity is worth the amount of effort. My drawings take longer to create than a painting of equal size and detail. --Laurie Lipton, "It's an insane way to draw, but the resulting detail and luminosity is worth the amount of effort. Synopsis
A collection of new, astounding drawings by artist Laurie Lipton. Laurie Lipton draws on canvases that are improbably large, using only pencil and charcoal. The images she renders present our modern world in scathing critique. This new book features her latest meticulous drawings. The artwork is part of three ongoing series entitled Techno Rococo, Post Truth, and May You Live in Interesting Times. In these she addresses social media, unchecked consumerism, intellectual decline, environmental catastrophe, and soul-crushing isolation, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Her sprawling phantasmagorias have earned her a broad constituency of fans and collectors, from scholars and aficionados of the Flemish and German Renaissance, to savvy contemporary gallerists and collectors, to filmmakers such as Terry Gilliam and James Scott (who directed the award-winning 2016 documentary about her, Love Bite) and finally to a massive and loyal social-media following. Includes introductory essay "Laurie Lipton and the Golden Thread" by Richard Speer, A collection of new, astounding drawings by artist Laurie Lipton.Laurie Lipton draws on canvases that are improbably large, using only pencil and charcoal. - g***g (3)- Feedback gegeven door koper.Afgelopen maandGeverifieerde aankoopItem arrived in new condition, wrapped and sealed, just as promised. Looks great, brand new off the shelf but at a much better price. Very happy with the whole transaction - it arrived quickly and well packed also.
- k***k (63)- Feedback gegeven door koper.Afgelopen maandGeverifieerde aankoopShipped in a Gemini mailer and arrived brand new in shrink wrap. No dents or dings. Great job! Thanks!
- d***b (105)- Feedback gegeven door koper.Afgelopen maandGeverifieerde aankoopI got an offer for this and asked if I got it would I be refunded the shipping(~$4). I know eBay can be weird with combining/shipping orders so I tried to ask questions. They didn't answer my specific question and I wrongly trusted them. If this didn't qualify for a shipping refund why did THEY suggest I get it BEFORE I payed when I asked them??? I would NOT have got it if they said they wouldn't be able to refund me!!! Is the ~$4/credit for a repeat customer to much to ask for?
