Adelina Holguin earned her Ph.D. and M.A. from the Psychology Department and The Center of Neuroscience at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and her B.S. in psychology, with a minor in biology, from the University of Texas, El Paso. Her professional research experience led Dr. Holguin to Zambia, Africa, in the capacity of senior research associate to build infrastructure for a NeuroAIDS project where she oversaw the direction of the project and conducted both NeuroAIDS behavioral and histopathological studies. While in Zambia, Dr. Holguin also established an immunohistochemistry laboratory at the University Teaching Hospital. Dr. Holguin is an assistant professor in the Social Sciences Department at Do a Ana Community College in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
