Product Information
Players form a virtual bond with one of the most intelligent animals on Earth in Discovery Kids: Dolphin Discovery. The overall goal of the game is to nurture and care for a pet dolphin, helping it to grow up to be healthy and live a happy life. Players teach their dolphin stunts and tricks, which can lead to a long and rewarding career of performing in aquariums and amusement park water shows. Some mini-games are played from a 2D side-scrolling perspective, similar to the original 16-bit Ecco the Dolphin games. Others activities are played from an isometric viewpoint, and much of the game takes place from a 3D perspective behind the dolphin, to give players a sense of zipping beneath the waves and gliding across the ocean floor. By providing responsible care and demonstrating their trick-training abilities, players are rewarded with new dolphins to raise and train. Based on the basic cable channel's programming, Dolphin Discovery is part of 505 Games' Discovery Kids alliterative line of pet simulations for Nintendo DS, along with Kitten Corner, Pony Paradise, and Puppy Playtime.
