I requested in notes "Remote encoder" but item arrived with encoder soldered to the board anyway which made more work for me. Seller gave 2nd encoder on next order but I only need the ribbon wires to extend the old encoder.

This time, there was an issue getting it to work properly. I contacted the seller, who worked with me to troubleshoot the issue and determined that it was defective, and offered to repair or refund. I did have to pay to ship it back, which is unfortunate, but a refund was promptly issued. I marked the shipping cost to 3 stars for shipping because of I got stuck for shipping both ways for a defective product.
