The headband section has a comfortable mesh along the inner side with a foam-like appearance on the exterior. The ergonomic Steelflex headband on these headphones provides durability. Decorative, red chevrons and the V-Moda name are at the base of each headband end, giving the phones a professional yet casual appearance. These V-Moda headphones feature a 40-millimeter diaphragm, giving you precise audio balance. You'll be able to hear the entire range of tones with greater clarity. The manufacturer patented these particular diaphragms because of the dual-diaphragm design that's inherent to the overall sound quality. If you took the gear apart, you'd find two rings that are separated from one another. These diaphragm rings isolate sound frequencies so that no overlap occurs between the treble, mids, or bass.Durability is built into these earphone devices. Testing has shown that they can be dropped 60 times onto concrete from a height of nearly 5 feet without any damage to the internal parts.
