(Forgot to measure it before installing the enclosure in its current location. If I had to guess, I'd say it's probably one meter.) The activity light is super bright and I've mostly covered it so only a little light is visible. Otherwise, it's so bright it lights up a dark room. Includes a one meter (~40 in.) USB-3.x A to B cable. Metal housing and stand feels pretty rugged when a drive is installed. Keep in mind that the screws are a tad bit tricky to install and that the actual plastic drive caddy part comes unscrewed and slides freely until you put the two screws in that keep it in place, so be careful. Overall I don't think you can beat this enclosure in terms of quality at this price point.
