So I tried in desperation using clear plastic film instead - polythene first, then polypropylene - but they soon bulged up and became rough and impossible to use. So I gave this film another try, and I have to admit that even with my aggressive typing I'm not yet seeing any damage to it. This is a good product as long as you can see the key symbols through it.
