The drive has up to 1.4 million hours of MTBF, so it can deliver reliability in the most demanding storage environments. The drive has a spindle speed of 7200 RPM with a 64MB cache buffer. It’s internal data transfer rate of 30 GB/S buffer to host and 128 mbp/s host to/from drive help it accomplish a number of tasks in addition to the 64MB cache SATA 3.0 GB/s. Outside of its cache, the drive features a dual processor to maximize performance with double the processing power. The Western Digital RE4 (WD2503ABYX) 250GB internal hard drive 7200 RPM features enhanced RAFF technology for vibration protection.
