Warranty & Returns Policy – River Recordings Ltd
These terms apply to purchases made through our online stores, including eBay. They are designed to comply with UK consumer law and eBay requirements. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
1. Returns for Unwanted Goods (Change of Mind)
Customers have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of receiving the goods under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
You must notify us of your intention to return the goods within this period. Goods must then be returned to us within 14 days of cancellation.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the goods are faulty or incorrectly supplied.
Items should be returned in re-saleable condition, with original packaging where reasonably possible. Customers may open packaging to inspect goods, but we may deduct from the refund if the goods show signs of use beyond what is necessary to inspect them.
Certain items are exempt from return under consumer law, including:
Software, once unsealed/opened.
Custom-made, personalised, or special-order items.
Goods liable to deteriorate rapidly.
2. Refunds for Unwanted Goods
We will refund the full cost of the goods, plus the original standard delivery charge.
Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for purchase.
We may deduct an amount to reflect any reduction in the value of the goods due to handling beyond what is permitted in-store.
3. Faulty Goods (Your Statutory Rights)
If goods are faulty, not as described, or unfit for purpose, you are entitled to a full refund if you notify us within 30 days of delivery.
After 30 days, we will offer a repair or replacement within a reasonable time. If this is not possible, a partial or full refund may be issued.
Faulty goods must be returned securely packaged, with proof of purchase provided.
4. Warranty Cover
Unless otherwise stated, our products are supplied with a 12-month warranty against defects in materials, workmanship, or design.
Repairs may be carried out using refurbished or replacement parts.
Warranty seals must not be removed or broken. Any tampering may void the warranty.
If replacement goods are provided, the warranty continues from the original purchase date (unless otherwise confirmed in writing).
Customers must obtain an RMA (Returns Authorisation) number before sending goods back under warranty. Goods returned without an RMA number may experience delays in processing.
5. Return Procedure
To request a return, please contact us via our website or eBay message system to obtain an RMA number.
Returned goods must clearly display the RMA number on the external packaging and include proof of purchase.
All returns must be securely packaged, with adequate protection for transit.
Customers are responsible for the goods until they are received by us. Proof of delivery is recommended.
6. Timeframes
All returns must be received within 14 days of an RMA being issued.
Goods left unclaimed after 90 days (whether warranty or non-warranty repairs) may be disposed of without further notice.
7. Exclusions
This policy does not cover:
Normal wear and tear.
Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorised repairs.
Software or consumables once opened (unless faulty).
